Pre-Installation Site Information Buyers Should Confirm for Commercial Soft Serve Equipment
Commercial soft serve equipment should not be selected from a model photo alone. Before a buyer confirms a configuration, the supplier needs a clear picture of the destination, available electrical supply, operating position, receiving route and day-to-day workflow. These facts help the buyer ask the right model-specific questions before an order is finalized.
This guide is for distributors, importers, OEM partners and commercial operators collecting site information. It is not a universal installation specification. The final machine must follow the instructions supplied for that model and the applicable requirements at the destination. Wiring, structural support, utility connections and installation work should be reviewed by appropriately qualified local professionals.
1. Confirm site information before finalizing a model
Start by identifying the proposed equipment format and the actual commercial application. A countertop unit and a vertical unit can create different space, handling and workflow questions even when both serve a similar product. Record whether the project is for a café, dessert counter, restaurant, hotel, food court, distributor showroom or another defined setting.
Review the current commercial soft serve equipment range and the guide comparing countertop and floor-standing soft serve machines. Use those pages to organize the model discussion, then confirm the selected configuration against the real site rather than treating a product-family description as an installation instruction.
2. Record the destination and available electrical supply
Provide the destination country, site location, available voltage and frequency. Do not assume that a country name alone confirms the final electrical configuration. If the project has a buyer-supplied electrical specification, send it for review and identify which details are confirmed and which still require local verification.
Electrical requirements can vary by model. For example, the current product summary lists 1,500 W rated power for SCA126 Pro and 1,850 W for SCA200, with 220 V/50 Hz or 110 V/60 Hz configurations shown for the checked models. These figures are model references, not wiring instructions. The required plug, socket, circuit, phase, cable and protective devices must be confirmed from the final model information and by qualified local professionals.
3. Measure the operating position, not only the machine footprint
Measure the available width, depth and height at the intended position. Then record the surrounding work area: where staff stand, where product or supplies are handled, how doors or panels are accessed, and which nearby equipment may affect the space. A machine may physically fit inside a rectangle while still being impractical for normal operation.

6. Ask for model-specific ventilation and service-clearance guidance
The checked SCA126, SCA126 Pro and SCA200 records identify air cooling. That supports a ventilation-planning question, but it does not establish one clearance number for every machine or site. Ask for the current model's airflow direction, placement guidance and service-access requirements before fixing the final position.
Provide photos or a simple sketch showing walls, counters and nearby heat-producing equipment when they are relevant. Do not copy a clearance value from another model, an old manual or an unrelated supplier. The current instructions for the selected configuration should control the review.
7. Confirm water, drainage and other utilities instead of assuming
Ask whether the selected machine and planned operating process require any water supply, drainage or other utility connection. The checked sources do not establish these as universal requirements across the full product range, so the article does not state that a connection is always required.
If the site already has a sink, drain, water point or other utility, record its location and intended use. If it does not, state that clearly. The supplier, current model instructions and qualified local professionals can then identify which points matter for the specific configuration and operating plan.
8. Map operator, cleaning and service access
Describe how staff will approach the machine during normal service, replenishment, routine cleaning and basic inspection. Identify any narrow work area, public traffic route or nearby equipment that could limit access. Keep these observations practical and non-numeric until model-specific guidance is available.
Also record who will operate the equipment, who will receive current instructions and who will coordinate technical questions. This does not replace training or a manual. It helps the buyer identify whether the proposed position supports the expected workflow and whether additional site questions should be resolved before delivery.
9. Send one complete site-information package for review
A useful site package can include:
- destination country and exact project location;
- commercial application and buyer type;
- preferred countertop or vertical format;
- model or models under review;
- available voltage and frequency;
- measured operating-space width, depth and height;
- photos or a simple site sketch;
- door, corridor, lift, stair and receiving-route limits;
- proposed counter, support surface or floor position;
- nearby walls, counters and heat-producing equipment;
- known water, drainage or other utility points;
- operator, cleaning and service-access considerations.
